Vegans Buns

Buns are traditional sweets of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Valencia and Aragon. Buns vegan recipe that we offer is very simple so we encourage you to prepare. If the meal is not achieved almonds can be prepared at home.

Ingredients

• 500 g. Almond flour (see comments to prepare)
• 250 g. of white sugar or semi integrated
• 1 large potato or sweet potato

Preparation
If we want to do with potatoes we cook with skin not to get them water. You can also do with sweet potatoes, roast in this case, but we must keep in mind that all will like to Buns potato. With potato are softer, the better the taste of almond appreciated.

Crushed potato or sweet potatoes while still hot and then let it cool.

Add the sugar and almond flour and knead well with your hands. If necessary, add more almond flour to make it compact.

This will be the base. From here we deal in as many parts as different tastes want to do pine nuts, chopped almonds, coffee, quince...

We place them on a baking sheet and brush with a little sugar water. Then bake at 225 ° C about 10 minutes in oven pre-heated.

Comments Recipe

If we find almond meal, we can always make it at home with raw almonds. We will use a food processor, then sift the ground almonds, flour separating what remains to grind. After several passes, we will leave the almonds fine enough to use in our recipe Buns.
