Easy recipe chapati bread. It is a typical bread without yeast India and Pakistan. Just flour, oil, salt and water are the ingredients and is a good introduction to those who want to make their own homemade bread.
Ingredients
• 3 cups flour
• Less than 1 cup water
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
In a bowl that allows us to put the knead wheat flour. Add salt and mix well.
Then strain the two tablespoons oil (I prefer olive, but can be any vegetable oil). Mix well so that the oil is mix in flour and is well distributed.
Later we add the cup of water while knead. It should be a smooth and homogeneous dough does not stick to hands. To this we add the water gradually until the ideal texture.
Let stand 15 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface divide the dough into 5 or 6 balls. We're making the bread into flat disks about 3 mm thick. Crush the dough, so that no air inside.
Heat the griddle or skillet and cook each chapati dough separately. We notice that swells very little (for not wearing yeast) and it's time to turn it around. Chapati bread will be small zones more toasted on both sides, this is a sign that it is ready.
Let placing the bread on a clean cloth and serve immediately with food.
