It is a very popular traditional recipe from the kitchen of Czech Republic. We can find many variants, because each house is prepared differently. We chose this vegan recipe specifically for its simplicity and good final result.
Difficulty: Easy
Preparation: 30 min.
Ingredients for 2 people
• 2 medium potatoes
• 2 cloves garlic
• 8-9 generous tablespoons flour
• 12 cup warm water (110 ml.)
• 1 tablespoon marjoram
• 2 tablespoons oil
• Salt and pepper
Preparation
Peel and wash the potatoes. The grate grater hand with the largest part. We care not to cut off! When we have the grated potatoes, they will remove excess squeezing water by hand.
Chop the garlic and add the grated potatoes. Then we can seasoning and stir well to mix everything.
In another bowl we put 8 tablespoons flour with a pinch of salt and a scoop of marjoram. Mix well and we add the warm water slowly while stirring. We want to achieve a homogeneous liquid texture a bit denser than the beaten egg, so if we need to correct the consistency we can add flour or water as appropriate.
Now we mix the grated potatoes with our dough. They should be well washed potatoes, but not much mass on liquid.
We put a pan (if possible non-stick) to fire with 2 tablespoons oil. When the oil is hot, with the help of a spoon we take a little dough in the pan and form a kind of pancake. We are putting the dough into burgers of the size you want to fill the surface of the pan. Within seconds, we will check with the skimmer our bramborakes do not stick and we will move the pan every bit to prevent it. When the potato pancakes until golden on one side (at 3 min. Approx.) Give them over to brown on the other.

We can serve accompanied by sour cabbage bramborak in some sauce and a salad.
For this recipe I used wheat flour, which is the most common, but you can try different flours.
If unfortunately you do not have marjoram hand, you can make this recipe bramborak with other spices to your liking, but marjoram is what gives it its characteristic flavor Czech.
