Vegan apple strudel

The strudel is filled pasta whose origin is Central Europe. It is very common in the German and Austrian cuisine. Here is the recipe for apple strudel (apple strudel), vegan recipe easy to prepare and worth trying.

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

• 1,1/2 cup flour
• 2-3 tablespoons sunflower oil (olive or soft)
• 1/2 cups water
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon margarine
• 1kg. Apple (golden type)
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 100 g. Raisins
• 100 g. Sliced almonds (or walnuts or pistachios)
• 50 ml. Rum
• 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

Mix in flour + warm water + oil + salt bowl. Knead everything well and let the mass of our apple strudel 30 min at rest covered with a cloth.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Peel the apples and cut into slices about 2-3 mm. Let soak raisins in rum and secondly mix sugar with cinnamon.

Now we can preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees.

After leaving the dough, roll it out with a rolling pin on a floured clean kitchen cloth (which will help us to roll up the strudel). The dough should be very thin and a size of approx. 25x30 cm.  Once the dough stretched we put a thin layer of margarine and sprinkle breadcrumbs.

For the filling mix the apples, almonds and raisins (previously removing rum) with sugar and cinnamon.

We extend our fill of apple strudel dough on the free edge of leaving something that will help us to close it later.

Carefully roll up the dough using the towel. We close the edges well and spread with margarine. If we are not prepared oven can wrap the strudel in plastic wrap and reserve until it can be put in the oven.

Bake for 30-40 minutes (until we see that the mass is made).

Comments Recipe

The apple strudel (apple strudel) is a typical German and Austrian sweet. Before serving to let it sit there a little so that the filling does not burn, but it is recommended to eat freshly made while it is still hot. Usually it appears sprinkled with icing sugar.
