Rice with vegetable milk

The classic recipe sweet rice pudding adapted to vegan cuisine.

Ingredients

• 150 g. Rice
• 1 L. Vegetable milks
• 1 lemon
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• Sugar (white or brown)
• Cinnamon
• Salt

Preparation

In a saucepan, boil about 5 minutes over low heat, the milk with cinnamon stick, broken into two or three pieces, and wash skin lemon (yellow part only because the white gives much bitterness). It also adds a few grains of salt. Beware that grows when boiled milk and can overflow.

Add the rice and cook, always simmering, until the grain is tender. This depends on the type of rice as the integral takes longer to cook. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.

If you start to run out of broth, add more hot milk.

When the rice begins to soften, add sugar to taste and mix well.

Rice pudding served in soup plates, sprinkled with cinnamon.

If you did not have lemon, it serves you like the skin of an orange, which gives you a different but equally delicious aroma.

You can experiment with different vegetable milks soy, rice, oats, etc.
