Recipe for pesto in your vegan version. The originally contains parmesan pesto, this vegan recipe we make cheese flavor of yeast, getting the characteristic taste of pesto, with his intense taste of basil.

Ingredients 1 cup
• 2 cups fresh basil (gently pressed)
• 12 cup pine nuts (other options are walnuts or almonds)
• 1 or 2 cloves garlic, crushed
• 12 cup extra virgin olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp. Lemon juice
• 3 tablespoons yeast
Preparation
We put the basil, pine nuts and garlic in a food processor or blender (you can also do it with mortar). We process the mixture well until not quite ground. A coarse grind enough for us.
Then slowly add olive oil while we keep grinding it. Salt and pepper and add the lemon and yeast. We grind everything together a little more to achieve the ideal texture.

We can use the pesto for some pasta or spread on sandwiches and snacks.
