Vegan Nacho Cheese

A recipe for vegan cheese nachos, for sandwiches, tacos, etc. Preparation is simple Mix the dry ingredients and then the others (Except the miso and cilantro if we use them-are optional); then we heat it over medium heat, stirring constantly our cheese sauce until thick and smooth texture.

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

• 120 ml. Flour (choose the one you prefer)
• 120 ml. Flakes yeast
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika (sweet or spicy)
• 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoons dried oregano
• 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder
• 480 ml. Water or vegetable milk (unsweetened)
• 60 ml. Olive oil
• 12 teaspoon mustard
• Optional 12 teaspoon white miso (shiromiso)
• Optional 60 ml chopped fresh cilantro

Preparation

Preparation is simple, first mix the dry ingredients, mix well and add the remaining ingredients (except the miso and cilantro if you're going to put cilantro) gradually to go ligand. At the end, we heat the resulting mixture to the desired texture.

1. Mix the flour, yeast and spices in a pot.

2. Let adding and mixing slowly water (or vegetable milk), olive oil and mustard.

3. Over medium heat, cook our pasta vegan cheese, stirring almost constantly, until it begins to bubble, texture should be thick and smooth.

4. Remove from heat, add the miso and mix well (in case you're going to add miso).

5. The cilantro, in the event that we use, mix it with our sauce just before serving.

Comments Recipe

We can use the sauce to prepare vegan cheese nachos. On a base of chips we put our cheese and add cubes of tomato, jalapeno slices, chopped onions ... or ingredients you prefer. You can also combine the nachos with Mexican recipe red sauce or salsa recipe pico de gallo.

This cheese is also perfect for sandwiches, tacos, etc.
