Lentil burgers

To prepare vegan burgers (or meatballs) recipe lentils. It is very simple and the taste will surprise you.

Preparation: 30 min.

Ingredients for 5 people

• 200 grams of lentils (raw)
• 5 cloves garlic
• 1 onion
• Olive oil
• Salt and pepper


Preparation

Lentils are soaked for about four hours. After that time they slip and wash well.

With the help of a blender or food processor, beat well lentils leaving a thin crust.

Finely chop the onion and garlic, adding all the lentils. Salt for tablespoon ground cumin is added, mixing everything well. Mass reserves a few minutes.


We put a pan with oil over medium heat. While we're making hamburger hands. If the texture is not ideal, we can help with some breadcrumbs or flour.

We fry the burgers on both sides. Controlling the fire is not too high, as oil nor too low would it burn, because the dough will remain oily.

We can also make meatloaf with the same mass. They are delicious with a homemade tomato sauce. We can also prepare the dough lentils with other spices that you like instead of or in addition cumin.

For this recipe we used head lentils, but for this vegan recipe you can use other varieties.
