Lentils with rice

Vegan recipe for lentils with rice. A vegetarian dish perfect for the winter months.

Ingredients

• Chard (to taste)
• 1 chopped potato
• 1 turnip
• 1 cup crushed tomatoes
• 1 cup rice
• 1 cup lentils
• Oil
• Salt
• Paprika

Preparation


We put a pot to boil water, peeled potato cut, the chopped carrots, beets and turnips halved.

While the water in the pot is about to boil, heat oil in a pan and fry the crushed tomatoes. When the water is boiling and add the fried tomato water with a pinch of paprika and salt to taste.

Add a cup of lentil broth obtained with the above ingredients and wait for lentils are tender and remain soft. Then add the cup of rice and let it boil until it is too squishy.


Remove from heat and let cool slightly and serve not to burn.

This recipe is suitable for two people, if they will be more diners more glasses of rice and lentils are added in proportion.

It can be prepared either in a pressure cooker, as in a conventional, although it is clear that conventional cooker takes longer to do. Ideally remaining broth-although there who likes thick. It is the signature dish of winter days, Bon Appétit!
