Houmous - pate chickpea

Humus is a traditional recipe for chickpea pâté. An intense and surprising for an easy recipe to prepare and very versatile flavor. Perfect for tapas, snacks, sandwiches, salads ...

Difficulty: easy

Preparation: 10 min.

Serves: 4

• 400 grams of cooked chickpeas
• 2 cloves garlic
• 3 tablespoons tahini or sesame paste (optional)
• A pinch of cumin according to taste
• Lemon juice approximately 12
• Approx. 3 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt and black pepper

Preparation

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and beat with mixer until creamy and homogeneous texture.

Creamier if desired, can you take a bit of cooking water or some vegetable milk.

When serving you can garnish with a little sweet (or hot) pepper, sesame seeds and olive oil mussels.


Comments Recipe


The hummus is ideal to eat with pita bread, toast or raw vegetables like carrots, celery sticks or red peppers cut into strips (crudités). In addition, you can make sandwiches with hummus, fresh tomato and some fresh chopped parsley ... or whatever comes to mind.
